There are only two more meetings of the Dallas Gas Drilling Task Force before the group issues its recommendations to the City Council – Tuesday February 21, and Tuesday, February 28th, both meetings on the 6th floor of Dallas City Hall, and both starting at 2 pm. Based on media coverage, you might get the impression there are only a handful of lease sites in Southwest Dallas and Oak Cliff at stake. In fact, there are many, many more than that – hundreds more. You’re going to be reading more about these sites in the weeks to come in an attempt by Dallas citizens to keep these kinds of maps from coming true on the east side of the Metromess.
